The Peabody Family Oct 09

I have been doing more portrait work and Mel asked me to do their family pictures. I took this as an opportunity to experiment with some ideas I have been wanting to try..
Mels friend Jessica and her new husband and 4 girls were there too and I had a great time doing both families..
This one here is one of my favorites, but the problem is I do have many favorites from this shoot.

Here are the dogs,, Callie and Buster. They are so old but have always been a part of the family since before the boys were born.

Love these!!!

So stinking handsome... I am still trying to figure out just when he grew up.

Awwwwwe cute...

Mel got a thorn from a blackberry bush stuck and couldn't get it off her pants..

The boys are so sticking cute I can't stand it!!!!

My friend George said it best.. "those smiles could melt ice cream"

Lyons Ferry Trestle

This is in Lyons Ferry, Washington. This is about 5 miles from Palouse Falls. Wally took quite a few different pictures of this trestle and they are all really nice pictures.

I think this one of the reflection in the lake is my favorite.
Here a train is going across and you can't really tell how long this train was, but it was really long..

My Harley

This is Harley. He is an American Cocker Spaniel. I have never kept him like other cockers,, the ones with the long hair.. I have always thought it would be unfair to him to keep him long if I didn't have time to keep him groomed. So I keep him short. I used to groom him myself, and it took about 4ish hours.. He lets Wally do it in only about an hour. He loves Wally and lets him do just about anything. Wally gave him a Mohawk. I came home from work one day and he had a Mohawk.. He keeps talking about a barber pole cut.. I am waiting. I have figured anything is possible.

Harley is still my baby.. he still cuddles with me and knows when I am not feeling well.. he will just lay there and not move. Just wants to cuddle. He does hug me by wrapping both paws around my neck and putting his chin on my shoulder. So darn cute!!! Just makes me melt.
He gets along with the other ratties.. but they have taught him bad manners.. I am breaking all of them. Yeah right.. only if I put a muzzle on them for when we come home. They wait for me, and I see them when I drive up.. I see little dog heads in the window and as soon as they see me come home they will start barking until I get into the house. They do the same for Wally.. I guess they are glad to see us come home.

Pixi

This is Pixi,, she is the baby at about 8 years old. (Chuck and Trixi are her mama and daddy) She is twice the size of her parents at right around 20lbs. We haven't figured if she is a rat dog.. or a brat dog..
She, being the baby is the trouble maker. She will instigate the barking, get into the garbage and when you tell her to stop doing something she looks at you like she is saying... yeah, and what are you going to do about it..

She does love her daddy. I have never seen a dog who will hug the way she does. She will come and put her head against Wally's head (me too) and just push up against it and stay like that until we move her. Another spoiled ratty,,, that is about all I can say about her...
